Philipp and Tobi grow up in provincial East Germany. Their childhood is marked by the disintegration of their own family and the lack of prospects for an entire region. Years later, when a refugee home is to be built in the village, the situation escalates. While one brother withdraws, the other finds an outlet for his anger.
