Vom 5. bis zum 10. Februar 2024 findet auf dem Gelände der Alten Münze in Berlin die Residenz „STOP OVER – Improvising a Zentrum“ statt. 

20 Künstler*innen unterschiedlicher Sparten füllen die Produktionshallen auf dem Areal mit Musik, Performances, Diskurs und Gastlichkeit. 

Vier Hallen im Haus 4 der Alten Münze stehen den STOP OVER-Akteur*innen in diesem Zeitraum als Werkstatt, Proberäume, Wohnort, Ort der Gastlichkeit und des Austauschs zur Verfügung. Sie definieren Form und Inhalt und bespielen die Hallen mit Musik, Performances, offenen Proben, Inputs und Diskurs. Es gibt Geselligkeit an langen Tafeln, einen täglichen Salon, den Torhaus Radio-Kiosk mit Punsch-Station, eine Pop-up-Küche, einen Hot Tub, Installationen, Tischtennisplatten und temporäre Bühnen.

Wie der Titel verrät ist das Prinzip von STOP OVER Improvisation – bis auf ein paar Eckdaten entsteht also alles, was in diesen Tagen passiert, im Moment. Über das tagesaktuelle Programm kann man sich während des Residenzzeitraums auf dieser Website und auf unserem Instagram-Kanal informieren.

From February 5th to February 10th, 2024, the residency "STOP OVER – Improvising a Zentrum" takes place on the premises of the Alte Münze in Berlin.

Twenty artists from various disciplines will fill the production halls onsite with music, performances, discourse, and hospitality.

During this period, four halls in House 4 of the Alte Münze will be available to the STOP OVER performers as workshops, rehearsal rooms, living spaces, places of hospitality and exchange. They define form and content and use the halls for music, performances, open rehearsals, inputs and discourse. There is conviviality at long tables, a daily salon, the Torhaus radio kiosk with a mulled wine station, a pop-up kitchen, a hot tub, installations, table tennis tables and temporary stages.

As the title suggests, the principle of STOP OVER is improvisation – except for a few key details, everything that happens during these days is created in the moment. You can stay informed about the daily program on this website and on our Instagram channel.
