River Rats
From the depths of the Spree and its canals come the River Rats! They drag two guitars, double-bass and violin through the gloomy tunnels of Berlin to their moon-lit sessions.
Influenced by the diminished lines of Django Reinhardt, the heart of the variété française and the spirit of old-time country and blues, the Rats wander between the ragged niches of Kreuzberg’s street jams and the glamorous grand theater.
With members from France and Germany, the River Rats combine the north and the south, dark and light, contemplation and euphoria. Their hand-made compositions in French, English and Spanish will captivate all audiences.

Oscar Ferdinand is a multi-instrumentalist (clarinet, guitar, voice, cello, piano), singer-songwriter, and music producer currently based in Normandy, with strong ties to the Berlin music scene. Before starting his solo project, he was one of the earliest members of the Berlin-based samba band A Panda do Sol, which will be one of the special guests performing this evening at the Badehaus.
Since 2022, Oscar has been producing his own songs and presenting them on European stages with his French trio. His concerts are joyful and energetic, blending New Orleans swing, Brazilian samba, Spanish rumba, and French chansons. Oscar’s musical education has been the foundation of his creativity. At 17, he earned his cello diploma from the Conservatoire de Paris, with piano as his secondary instrument. He then taught himself jazz clarinet, guitar, and music production to modernize his sound and bring a fresh energy to his danceable songs.
To date, he has released three original singles and several short films shot by Théophile Boutin using an old 16mm camera, capturing the authentic spirit of his music.
