Opening: "After Images" and "Double Feature: Theodoulos Polyviou" at Julia Stoschek Foundation Berlin

We would like to cordially invite you to the opening of our new show "After Images" and "Double Feature: Theodoulos Polyviou" on the 11th September 2024 at the JSF Berlin between 6 and 10 pm. 

The Foundation is proud to present this new exhibition which departs from image-based practices like film and video for which the Julia Stoschek Foundation is best known, expanding the visual toward the haptic and multisensorial, and moving from the space of the screen to the embodied and experiential path of the viewer. Artists featured in the exhibition include: Rosa Barba, Paul Chan, Laurel Halo, LABOUR (Farahnaz Hatam & Colin Hacklander), Lotus L. Kang and more. 

Further, we are excited to present works by Cypriot artist Theodoulos Polyviou, spanning video, sculpture, archival objects, photography, and prints. The solo presentation introduces the third chapter of Polyviou’s ongoing series Transmundane Economies (2022 – ongoing) to Germany.
