Faux Amis is a Franco-American pop duo led by Noé Boon and Richard Sears, who met through musician Louis Cole in Los Angeles's emerging jazz/alternative scene. They have collaborated with artists such as Sam Wilkes and Beth Orton. Their work began with the soundtrack for the Arte/A24 series Icon of French Cinema, which premiered at the 2023 Deauville American Film Festival, followed by a score for Moi Aussi, shown at the 2024 Cannes Un Certain Regard selection. Over the past year, Faux Amis has performed at major French film festivals and warehouse art events near Paris while developing music for their first official release, set for early next year. They are based in New York and Paris.
