James Michael Rodgers alternative folk singer from Scotland resides in Berlin and has been touring independently and fronting his band for the last ten years.
He’s toured all over Europe and supported the likes of Gerry Cinnamon, Nathanial Rateliff, Lisa O’neil, the Mary Wallopers and John Moreland. 

He has just finished his Creative Scotland funded album ‘Dying in my best life’ recorded in Glasgow at Dystopia studios with mercury prize nominee musicians, members of the Berlin Philharmonic and Producers Luigi Pasquini and Jason Shaw who have both had charting album success and award winning production credits. 

The album has been gathering some interest from labels such as Bella Union and 4AD. 
The album with its strong songwriting and James’ authentic and powerful voice holding the album together comfortably gives the listener the space and confidence to explore the albums vast world of genre spinning hits. 
It’s an album the music industry and music enthusiasts have been waiting for. Recorded live with some of the best players in the world, using old studio techniques and bringing in modern arrangements as it walks the line of timeless classic love songs, catchy rock riffs that young budding musicians will be eager to learn and poetic yet straight to the point lyrics that will be etched into your subconscious for years to come. 

James is currently booking a solo tour of Germany for March 2025, festival slots for summer 2025 and planning to release the album November 2025 alongside a full band tour of EU and Britain.
