A former arch-villain turns into a suburban dad - a change that happens to Gru after he bumps into his greatest adversary at a class reunion, a conflict breaks out and he is forced to go into hiding. But the undisturbed idyll comes to an abrupt end, when baby Gru Junior is kidnapped. Together with his family, Gru embarks on an adventurous and hilarious rescue mission.
