The Wintergarten Varieté Berlin, just 500 meters from Potsdamer Platz, delights with variety shows, concerts, talks and specials: entertaining, charming and varied. The theater on Potsdamer Straße continues the traditions of the former Wintergarten Varieté on Friedrichstraße. In 1880, the sophisticated Central Hotel opened here not far from the large Friedrichstrasse station with a huge "Jardin de Plaisanterie", a winter garden for hotel guests. The magnificent, glass palace-like garden hall initially served as a hall for dinners and festive events. The first concerts were held from 1884, and from 1888 acrobats, magicians and gradually famous stars of the dance and variety scene joined them. By the turn of the century, the Wintergarten was already one of the top 80 variety theaters in Berlin. After 56 years of successful performances, the Wintergarten was completely destroyed by a bombing raid in 1944.

On September 25, 1992, today's Wintergarten Varieté Berlin opened with a glittering premiere in homage to the old Wintergarten. The artistic directors at the time, Bernhard Paul from Circus Roncalli and André Heller with his exuberant artistic portfolio, transformed the rooms of the legendary Quartier Latin jazz and concert club into a 1920s theater dream.

30 years of the new Wintergarten - Dedicated to amazement: always on the trail of the latest trends, the venue delights its audience under the enchanting starry sky with perfectly choreographed acrobatics, great music and exquisite cuisine.
