The Czech Center Berlin belongs to the network of 24 Czech Centers in 22 countries around the world. Together with the centers in Munich and Düsseldorf, its mission is to present the Czech Republic in Germany. The Czech Centers enter into dialogue with the public all over the world and actively support the presentation of the Czech Republic in the fields of culture, science and education, trade and tourism. In doing so, they introduce Czech artists and projects to cultural institutions in their respective host countries. The Czech Centers are part of the European Association of National Institutes of Culture EUNIC and are financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The Czech Center Berlin engages in dialogue with the German public and the German media, presenting the Czech Republic as a modern and dynamic country. The Czech Center Berlin participates in joint programs of all Czech Centers and organizes its own events. It cooperates with important cultural institutions throughout Germany and supports exchange projects. The Czech Center Berlin is also active outside the German capital in many German states: Brandenburg, Hesse, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Saarland. In Germany, other Czech Centers are located in Munich and Düsseldorf. The Czech Center is a founding member of EUNIC Berlin.
