Tresor: "Club of the first hour"

Tresor has made history:
On March 13, 1991, the first techno party is held here - making it one of the first in the new German capital. After the fall of the Wall, there was a sheer exodus from Berlin and people flocked to the open spaces of the unified city. The former Jewish bank building in Leipzigerstraße is no exception; the setting is sparse and dark, but some remnants such as old lockers build bridges to the past, true to the motto "Building bridges since 1991". But it's not just the location that serves as a link, it's also the music: the basement is heated up with funky machine techno from Detroit - literally. The place is immediately overrun and it's not uncommon for sweat to drip from the ceiling.

Tresor goes Berlin-Mitte

In 2005, Tresor has to move out and relocate, an investor wants to redevelop the site. A new industrial location is found: the club finds a new home in the former cogeneration plant in Köpenickerstraße. The lockers move with it and the techno party can continue.
