Fancy a little adventure tour in the great outdoors? Then grab your bike and make your way to Lake Tollertbruch! It is located to the east of Leipzig and is around 20 kilometers from the city center. You can get there by bike in about an hour, maybe a little longer depending on your speed and breaks.

Lake Tollertbruch is a real insider tip! It is a former quarry, which gives it a super cool, wild atmosphere. Instead of a sandy beach, there are rocks from which you can jump straight into the crystal-clear water. A real adrenaline rush, but it's worth it to cool off! 🌊

You can definitely swim here, but be careful when jumping off the rocks. It's best to check with the locals or other swimmers beforehand where it's safest. There is also a small island in the lake that you can swim to - perfect for a short break in the middle of the water.

What makes Lake Tollertbruch so special is its idyllic setting. No crowded beaches, no fuss - just you, nature and the cool water. But beware: there are no official lifeguards or safety measures, so always be on your guard and don't swim too far out if you're on your own.

On your way to the lake, you can also discover a few other highlights of the region. Brandis, the nearest larger town, has a few places worth seeing, such as the Brandis town church and the climbing forest. Perfect for a little change of pace if you want to do something other than swimming.
