The Theaterstübchen in Kassel is a real institution for music and culture fans! It is a cozy, informal venue located right in the heart of Kassel. Although the name "Theaterstübchen" may make it sound small and inconspicuous, behind it lies one of the city's liveliest stages, which is known above all for its intimate jazz and live music concerts.

The program is a colourful mix: in addition to jazz, artists from the blues, soul, funk and world music genres also perform here. Cabaret, comedy and readings also have their place. The proximity to the artists makes the atmosphere here special - you sit right in front of the stage and experience the music up close. There are only around 120 seats, which makes the Theaterstübchen an ideal location for intimate concert experiences.

Since it was founded in the 1970s, the Theaterstübchen has continued to develop and has gained a firm place in Kassel's cultural scene. It is run by a true music lover who puts his heart and soul into the design of the program. This is also evident from the fact that international stars as well as regional artists often take to the stage.

Another highlight is the Jazzfrühling festival series, which takes place every year and brings top-class musicians to Kassel.
