The TNT sees itself as an open meeting place for diversity and social criticism, for contemporary discourse and for having fun with art. We are the only Hessian research residency of the federal network - Flausen young artists in residence. Cooperation with the Hessian State Theatre and the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at the University of Giessen is also part of the program. An important concern is the promotion of young artists in Central Hessen and the creation of working conditions for experimental research work. We want to provide space for experiments whose outcome is uncertain and, as a source of inspiration, create conditions in the independent scene that are not determined by the apparatus, but by the needs of the artists and their work. The focus should not be on the product alone, but on the process required to achieve it. Critical exchange with the resulting works is essential. TNT has been an associate member of the Hessian Theater Academy since 2020 and is therefore a cooperation partner for HTA students.
