The start

The debut in March 1998 was successful even without much money. In addition to ideas and ideals, two pillars were particularly important: firstly, Cordula Nolte's 14 years of experience as a dance teacher with her own dance art school. Secondly, the finally successful search for a suitable space for a private studio stage.

The ensemble

The entire ensemble comes from the 'Schule für Tanzkunst' run by Cordula Nolte. Realizing dance dreams is more important to them than a salary. They earn their money with other work.

The stage

In what is probably Dortmund's oldest gymnasium, a nostalgic-looking stage space has been created solely through their own efforts. It alone always receives open praise from the audience.

The style

Each member of the ensemble can develop their individual skills. All pieces are developed to stage maturity through joint creativity. This allows everyone to embody their role as expressively as possible.

The goal

The private theater wants to constantly emphasize the cultural offer in NRW with its own touch. In the annual seasons, usually from November to April, the latest in-house production can usually be seen once a week - with an increasing audience response for almost 30 years now.
