WELCOME TO THE ROTUNDE

The Rotunde is an off-location in the heart of Bochum and serves as a subcultural meeting place. We offer club nights, concerts, art exhibitions, flea markets and business events. Our musical program offers a broad spectrum from house to techno, hip hop to dancehall and much more, depending on the current event.

A long-awaited comeback of the Rotunde Bochum took place in June 2017. As you would expect, the Rotunde appears true to its style, with a full program of events. In addition to the traditional, alternative flair, new concepts from numerous cultural areas are also presented.

However, the station building was not completely renovated during the refurbishment; instead, signs of decay, such as unplastered walls and graffiti, were deliberately retained and supplemented with paintings and light installations. The result is a truly alternative meeting place for various cultural events, just as it could be in Berlin. And yet the morbid charm fits perfectly into the Pott. The rooms are very variable, depending on whether it is a smaller reading or a larger festival, the organizer can include adjoining rooms or limit himself to the entrance hall with the glass roundel on the roof.
