As Europe's first club space with excellent acoustics for classical music, the resonanzraum has been a lively hotspot of new impulses for young and urban listeners since 2014. In the middle of St. Pauli, between the cathedral and Millerntor stadium, in the direct vicinity of clubs such as "Uebel und Gefährlich" and the radio station "Byte FM", cultural life pulsates here.

The resonanzraum was designed by the team led by Prof. Friedrich (pfp architekten). The room is characterized by its revolving iron gates, the open concrete walls and the large bar. The lighting concept, which was designed specifically for the room by Heinz Kasper, is also part of its artistic design.

The resonanzraum is the home and experimental field of Ensemble Resonanz, one of the best chamber orchestras in the world, which connects its work here with the people and the pulse of the city. In dialog with DJs and producers from the Hamburg club scene, the monthly concert series "urban string" shows new paths for classical music culture.

The resonanzraum St. Pauli offers numerous internationally active artists and organizers an ideal stage for new formats and unconventional programs.
