Queeres Zentrum Göttingen

The Queeres Göttingen association was founded in 2016 and has been the sponsor of the Queer Center Göttingen since 2018. The association is now also the official sponsor of CSD Göttingen and the LesBiSchwulen* KULTURTAGE Göttingen.

The association now employs five full-time staff and is now the umbrella organization for seven groups within the center - in which queer people from a wide range of age groups and backgrounds organize themselves. Many other queer groups from Göttingen also use the center as a meeting place and event venue.
Here there is exchange, a sense of belonging, support, networking, (further) education, friendships, leisure activities, hobbies, discussions and entertainment.

This support of self-organization and empowerment of the queer community for the community is the community is the most important task of the association and the center.

The Queer Center Göttingen is an important point of contact for queer people from all over the surrounding area, far beyond the city limits.
