A ship - a belly full of science

An exhibition to try out and participate in. Current research work on a socially relevant topic. A tour through Germany on board a ship. That is - in short - the MS Wissenschaft.

Visitors will find hands-on science in the belly of the converted cargo ship. Many exciting exhibits allow them to actively explore the theme of the exhibition. And those who become researchers themselves quickly realize that science is not a dry theory, it is of great importance to our lives and it can inspire. The program of events with workshops and lectures provides the opportunity for discussion and exchange.

During the summer months, the MS Wissenschaft goes on tour and visits around 30 cities in Germany and often also in Austria. The theme of the exhibition is based on the respective Science Year. Interested people of all ages, children, young people and families are invited to the floating science center. Admission is free.

Science Year 2024

In 2024, our Basic Law will be 75 years old and it will be 35 years since the Peaceful Revolution. Two anniversaries that offer the opportunity to spend a year looking at freedom in all its facets.
