Mensch, Puppe!

Mensch, Puppe! has been presenting a wide-ranging program of puppet, picture and object theater as well as plays, musicals, readings and concerts for adults in the evening program and for children in the afternoon program since 2011. The puppeteer Jeannette Luft, the actress Claudia Spörri and the puppeteer Leo Mosler have set themselves the goal of exploring puppet theater, one of the oldest and most fascinating stage arts of all, in all its complexity. In addition to literary novels and classic plays such as: Fallada's "Little Man - What Now?", "Dracula" after Bram Stoker, "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, which are presented using the most diverse means of puppet theater, the ensemble is always looking for new challenges in an ambitious and experimental way. This results in various collaborations with the Kunsthalle Bremen, the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, the bremer shakespeare company, the botanika bremen, the Universum Bremen and Bremen's St. Petri Cathedral, among others.

Every year, families, school classes and kindergartens visit our performances. Children, parents, teachers and educators enjoy the lovingly staged stories. It is not uncommon for children to have their first formative contact with the theater here - a special responsibility that the ensemble carries with great care.

Whether in the Botanika, open-air at the Focke Museum and the Licht-Luft-Bad, in the Universum or with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra: Mensch Puppe! goes on tour and is also regularly represented at various puppet theater festivals throughout Germany.
