The Literaturhaus Magdeburg has set itself the goal of inspiring young and old in and around Magdeburg for the diverse literary landscape in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt and throughout Germany.

The Literaturhaus Magdeburg is a cultural institution in the state capital of Saxony-Anhalt dedicated to promoting and enriching literature and literary culture.

Our wide-ranging activities include a variety of offers that reflect the literary world in all its diversity. These include captivating exhibitions, inspiring children's events and the provision of an extensive archive and library.

Our exhibitions regularly provide a stage for impressive literary works and serve as a platform for talented artists and authors to present their creations to a wide audience, and for young readers we organize special children's events that not only entertain, but also promote the joy of literature and combine education with fun.

In addition, we are proud to maintain an archive and library that provide a wealth of resources for literary enthusiasts and researchers. These treasures are an important contribution to the preservation and dissemination of our region's literary heritage.
