Kölner Jugendpark

The Cologne Youth Park is located on a peninsula in the middle of the Rhine.

The Cologne Youth Park was founded in 1957 by the city of Cologne as part of the Federal Garden Show. Since October 1, 2000, the Cologne Youth Park has belonged to Jugendzentren Köln gGmbH (JugZ).

The Cologne Youth Park combines in its building a youth and community center with open leisure and group activities, as well as various events for children, young people and adults.

The entire peninsula between the Zoobrücke and the so-called "Katzenbuckel", the bridge that spans the Mülheim harbor basin from the Jugendpark peninsula, is the "Jugendpark".

For us as an institution, the preservation of the park area under landscape protection regulations and regulations of the public order office is just as important as the implementation of youth-specific offers.

We are committed to the maintenance and preservation of the park area. All year round, the peninsula is cleared of trash on a daily basis, and we regularly reseed particularly busy meadow areas.

For safety reasons for the participants of e.g. tent camps or for refinancing reasons for the events, the area can be closed off with mobile construction fences up to Rhine kilometer 691.

For the general public, the path between Deutz and Mülheim on the Dammweg is freely accessible at all times.
