In 2017, we were stranded in the heart of Magdeburg with nothing in our luggage but a vision in our hearts and a bottle of rum in our pockets. Since the first day, the Insel der Jugend has developed a little further every year. We are constantly redesigning the club's interior and expanding our cozy outdoor area.

The Insel der Jugend is an urban place of free development. Parties, concerts, poetry slams, open airs and events by various organizers take place here. Our program is as colorful as an island should be. The focus is on bringing many different people together, so that everyone can feel comfortable, relax and dance without having to worry about their origin, gender, identity or personal form and way of celebrating.

The awareness, the perception. A cosmopolitan, colorful and free party culture also has its downsides. In all situations in which you feel uncomfortable, whether due to alcohol, drugs or sexual harassment, we are at your side and will help you. Our staff and security staff receive regular training on the issues at hand. Don't be afraid to speak to our staff if you or someone around you feels uncomfortable.
