The Turkish bath for women is part of the Frauenzentrum Schokoladenfabrik e.V. The first hamam in Germany was opened in 1988 and has enjoyed great popularity ever since.

A hamam is a bath for cleansing and caring for body and soul. Relaxation and communication in a pleasantly warm atmosphere are essential elements of oriental hamam culture.

Women, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people (FLINTA*) of different cultural backgrounds as well as visitors from all over the world who want to get to know the pleasant sides of the intercultural metropolis of Berlin in a relaxed atmosphere work and meet in the Schokofabrik hammam.

Visitors to our baths find relaxation as well as interesting contacts and impressions. Visitors often find their way to the Hamam first and thus get to know and appreciate the Schokofabrik with its other feminist offers, such as counseling, education and sports.

We offer our visitors relaxation in our sauna or infrared cabin, our inner courtyard or our cozy rooms with the opportunity to enjoy drinks and snacks as a complement to their visit to the hamam. You can also book traditional treatments such as kese (full body peeling), sabunlama (foam massage) and various massages and beauty treatments in the hammam.

It is not possible or necessary to make a reservation to visit our hamam without booking a treatment online . If the capacity limit is exceeded, admission for visitors without a booked treatment will be temporarily suspended; this happens extremely rarely. When booking treatments , please note that you should plan your visit to the hamam around 40 minutes before the first treatment.

Our women's center is in the process of opening and learning. Every Tuesday is FLINTA* evening, where all women*, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender visitors are welcome.
