Once part of the largest Prussian fortress, the former cannon corridors and casemate vaults are now a multifaceted cultural and conference center in the immediate vicinity of the Elbe and right in the heart of Magdeburg's city center.
Mighty eleven-metre-high vaults, mysterious niches and a large fortress courtyard on the city wall, which is more than half a millennium old, now form the stunning backdrop for unique events such as festive banquets and gala evenings, presentations and conferences, trade fairs and seminars, workshops and much more. The upper vaults, the fireplace room and the culture workshop offer additional space for your desired event. Proms and class reunions can be held here as well as birthday parties, weddings and special family celebrations. There are also ideal conditions for concert organizers and artist agencies.

The year-round cultural program, which includes concerts and festivals, exhibitions and readings, theater and film, markets and parties, attracts 100,000 visitors to the old vaults every year.
