Connected to tradition
He trained as a waiter in Karlsbad, came to Michelbach as a Bohemian refugee and married the mayor's daughter here. In 1955 - always with a pipe in his mouth - he built an inn, soon with guest rooms and finally a guest house. Oh, and he also started a family with five children. This is what happened in the "Stümpel" valley, where we welcome you today.
"He" - that's Emil, our grandpa. And the mayor's daughter was our grandma Gretel, who served the best food in the world every lunchtime. Simple, but good. Honest and genuine in taste, because we knew exactly where the ingredients came from. It only tastes like this when it's cooked fresh with love.Today, we offer this original form of traditional family cuisine in a modern inn for all our guests. Without any flavor enhancers, pre-cooked ingredients or corporations in the background.
Because we are convinced that traditions and values such as respect for simplicity are still important today. So feel welcome in our home Marburg-Michelbach, in Stümpelstal and in "Emils".
