The Paderborn Diocesan Museum, built in the 1970s according to plans by architect Gottfried Böhm, displays sacred art from over 1000 years ago. The permanent exhibition includes sculptures, paintings and goldsmith's art, including the Romanesque Imad Madonna and the altar of Rogerus von Helmarshausen. The cathedral treasury is located in the medieval vaults of the building.

The museum regularly organizes special exhibitions, such as the upcoming "Corvey and the Heritage of Antiquity", and offers programmes for children, school classes and adults.
