The satirical theater and cabaret DIE SCHMIERE has been in Frankfurt am Main for an incredible 74 years - and Die Schmiere offers good humor and satire at its best!

Founded in 1950, the cabaret found its home in the cellar vault of the Carmelite monastery "under Frankfurt's towers" in the mid-1950s and can still be found there in the center of Frankfurt today. The second generation of SCHMIERE has been working and performing since 1990 and offers a colorful program with its own productions (cabaret and satire), supplemented by various guest appearances by invited artists from German-speaking countries.

It does more than just put a smile on people's faces: all fans of satire, cabaret, theater and intelligent entertainment get their money's worth here.
There is also art, readings and comedy.
