The German Röntgen Museum has been in Germany for over 90 years. It is THE institution worldwide that comprehensively documents the life, work and impact of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen - and also conveys the extensive fields of application of X-rays. Röntgen was a modern, creative and interdisciplinary thinker around 1900. With his discoveries, he set new standards and created seals of quality for the highest and best achievements in the field of scientific research and development. We have him to thank for the recognition and distinction "Made in Germany" in the fields of engineering, technology, science and research. Röntgen was the first ever Nobel Prize winner and set high standards with this very award.

We can therefore proudly say that our museum is dedicated to Röntgen's ideas and the topics surrounding X-rays - and that we approach things just as creatively and modernly as Röntgen once did. As the only institution of its kind in the world, the German Röntgen Museum will be breaking new ground in the coming years. What does that mean?
