The Bahnwärter Thiel cultural project is a vibrant place that combines art and culture and allows everyone to experience it. A curious conglomeration of Munich streetcar and subway carriages, artistically painted shipping containers and a crane, equipped with floating gondolas and sprightly carriages, provides an exciting backdrop for interpersonal encounters and a constant transport of program and content. While decelerated urban gardening, communal beds are cultivated by families and groups of friends and new ideas are created between lively graffiti, artists of all professions are already realizing themselves in their studios, rehearsal rooms, open workspaces and workshops. There is a bistro serving lunch and dinner in a subway with a surrounding sun terrace. The tramway next door is a meeting place for young people, offering space for workshops and experiments. Right next door is the Kulturhaus, which reflects the diversity and creativity of Munich's cultural scene in the form of a colorful program. With established formats such as concerts, club nights, flea markets, cinema evenings, readings, travelogues, dance courses and theater evenings. Since 2015, the Bahnwärter Thiel cultural project has been a popular and everyday meeting place for people from all over the world and contributes to shaping a reflective, respectful and far-sighted society. A place for encounters at eye level, where there are no limits to the imagination.
