The Autonome Zentrum (AZ) in Aachen has been the place to be for alternative culture and politics since 1993. In an old air raid shelter right next to the main train station, you will find a self-managed space for concerts, parties, theater, readings and more. Everything here is run on a voluntary and independent basis, without municipal funding. Admission prices are deliberately kept low so that everyone can take part. If you want to get active yourself or simply immerse yourself in Aachen's alternative scene, drop by.
