ATZE Musiktheater

The ATZE Musiktheater is one of the largest children's, youth and family theaters in Germany with around 100,000 spectators every year.An extensive program for people aged 3 and up is presented on four stages. In addition to the morning and afternoon performances, selected productions now also run in the newly created ATZE evening program. The ATZE Musiktheater is known far beyond the borders of Berlin thanks to extensive guest performances throughout Germany.

The program includes classics such as "Emil und die Detektive", "Ronja Räubertochter" and "Das SAMS", as well as newly told fairy tales such as "Hans im Glück" and "Das tapfere Schneiderlein". Current dance theater productions such as "I am Vincent and I am not afraid" and "The Ugly Duckling" were both nominated for the IKARUS Theater Prize. The evening program currently focuses on strong personalities with "Bach - The Life of a Musician", "Beethoven - A Life" and "The Captain of Köpenick" .

Thetrademark of ATZE Musiktheater is the unique combination of live music and drama .Sung and spoken dialog, songs and plot are closely interwoven. Over the course of its history, the ATZE Musiktheater has developed a unique selling point in the interpretation of musical theater that moves between categories such as "musical" and "spoken theater".

Since 2023, the ATZE Musiktheater has had a new open-air stage: in addition to its own productions for all age groups, a diverse program of theater, concerts, shows, dance and comedy is presentedin the summer months atLuftschloss Tempelhofer Feld .
