The Art Affair gallery opened in 2005 in the heart of Regensburg and is located in the Gothic chapel of the Altmannschen Haus, an imposing merchant's building from the early 16th century.

Over the past 20 years, Art Affair has established itself as a renowned meeting place for art lovers and organizes around 4 to 6 exhibitions a year. The special atmosphere is created by the combination of contemporary art and centuries-old Gothic architecture, which creates a fascinating field of tension.

The gallery focuses on selecting special pieces from the variety of current works of art and placing regional art trends in an international context. The focus is on contemporary artists who realize their motifs and ideas in the expressive forms of painting, sculpture, object and drawing.

In addition to artists from the region and German-speaking countries, the gallery also presents international talents and attaches great importance to academic training and craftsmanship. Another aim is to promote young, as yet unknown artists, who can often be seen in solo or group exhibitions alongside established artists.

Art Affair sees itself as a place of exchange where art, creativity and ideas come together. Each exhibition is accompanied by artist talks that give visitors an insight into the artists' work. Regular discussion rounds on topics relating to art, philosophy and society offer art lovers a creative space for stimulating conversations and the exchange of ideas.
