Alhambra

The Alhambra is one of the few action and communication centers in Germany that is run on this scale completely independently of state or municipal funding and influence. There are no subsidies. It is financed exclusively through donations and income from events such as discos. The few donations and the income from the sale of drinks cover the running costs of the Alhambra. All the work is carried out voluntarily by dedicated people in their free time and without pay - often involving stress and challenges. The Alhambra is completely independent and self-managed. However, the sometimes complex structures can make it difficult for outsiders to find the right contact person for their concerns.

Alhambra's only decision-making body, the "user plenum", meets every second Friday of the month. Representatives of all groups and individuals who use the Alhambra are usually present here. This is where organizational issues are discussed, such as the use of the premises and the allocation of appointments.

If you would like to organize an event at Alhambra or use the premises for other purposes, the user plenum is the only place where this can be discussed and appointments made.
