"Closed Rooms" - Edvin Revazov
A profound piece about emotional safe spaces, inspired by Charles Bukowski's poems. The choreography explores honesty, inner barriers and social expectations.
"Paths" - Aleix Martínez
The Hamburg Chamber Ballet Ensemble is working with Aleix Martínez for the first time. His new piece promises an innovative dance language.
"Step Lightly" - Paul Lightfoot & Sol Léon
Paul Lightfoot's choreography, originally created for the Nederlands Dans Theater 2, combines dancing precision with musical depth. Accompanied by Johann Sebastian Bach's "English Suites", a game of movement and space unfolds that explores closeness and distance. Supported by a sensitive lighting design by Jolanda de Kleine, an atmosphere is created that conveys lightness and emotional intensity in equal measure.
The Hamburg Chamber Ballet has set itself the task of offering displaced dancers a new artistic home in Germany. It is the first professional dance ensemble in Germany consisting exclusively of Ukrainian refugees.
