Zufit Simon: STRANGE FOREIGN BODIES - make thought dance

In the organizer's words:

Moving anatomy in space, or more specifically the question: What is a body? In any case, every body is different from the others.
STRANGE FOREIGN BODIES is an invitation to a shift in perception at the interface with the visual arts, characterized by clear lines and repetitive gestural forms. What can a body do?

Breathe, vibrate, pulsate, relate to each other, influence each other... Trying out postures, taking up positions, and again and again the astonishing experience of seeing the seemingly familiar in a new way.
Two female bodies, one male body, clothed, unclothed, partly clothed. Inspired by a list of ideas about the human body by French philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, the three performers explore their physicality in the soberly lit space in a fascinatingly mathematical and analytical, yet extremely sensual way.

"Nancy's definition of thought as "gesture and experience", which has made him the favorite philosopher of contemporary dance, seems to have been written for the Israeli-born choreographer, whose earlier works often ventured as stubbornly as shrewdly into the spaces between movement, thought and feeling, creating constructive semantic confusion. (...) The best passages cause momentary shifts in perception between the body, which has a birthmark here, rolls of fat there and, as Nancy says, is different from all other bodies - even from itself - and as a quasi-neutral sign.(...)
