Fast Forward! Realizing climate neutrality and adaptation together

The scientific community is warning us ever more clearly: the impact of climate change is increasing at a rapid pace and our actions for more sustainability are still too slow. This means not only that we need to implement measures for a climate-neutral future more quickly, but also that we need to adapt more to the consequences of climate change.

Under the motto "Fast Forward! Realizing climate neutrality and adaptation together", we will discuss the most important current topics and present best practices at the "ZEIT WISSEN Congress - Courage for Sustainability" on 26 September 2024 with experts from science, business, civil society and politics.

Which mayor already has an excellent adaptation strategy and how exactly do they implement it in their city? What are the biggest levers on the path to climate neutrality? What does it cost to adapt our society to climate change and how can we finance these projects? What expenses can be expected when implementing climate mitigation and how can we find nature-based solutions to realize a climate-neutral future more quickly? What changes and financial burdens can and should citizens be expected to bear in this process? How can companies make their production chains more sustainable and what innovations can help us in the fight against further global warming?

At the ZEIT WISSEN congress, we will take a close look at who the main players are in the implementation of the urgently needed climate neutrality and how we can accelerate the process of adaptation.
