in this course you will learn to recognize the beauty and power in everyday objects and bring them to life with your pen. Whether fruit bowls, flowers or small everyday finds - every object contains a story waiting to be told by you.

Using pencil, fineliner and colored ink, we will gradually approach different drawing techniques. We will develop a collection of unique drawings and create a starter set with which you can continue to work creatively at home. The course is aimed at everyone, whether beginner or advanced - the only thing you need to bring is an open mind.

All materials are included in the course. The course also includes an aperitif (non-alcoholic also possible) and another drink of your choice. A variety of sharing plates (including vegan alternatives) are available for your physical well-being.

Kara Hondong is a painter who lives and works in Mainz Neustadt. She studied at the Kunsthochschule Mainz and the Royal College of Art in London.

In her paintings, she negotiates digital pictorial spaces, visual corporeality and the rhizomatic effect of ambiguity. Through the use and development of new material processes, she explores questions of painting and strives for new and exciting solutions.
