Some voices are instantly recognizable. Isabelle Geffroy, better known as Zaz, has one. Sometimes rough, sometimes gentle, with an energy that moves effortlessly between chanson, pop and jazz. An artist who has made her way from the streets of Montmartre to the world's great stages - and has always remained herself.

Born on May 1, 1980 in Tours, her musical talent became apparent early on: at the age of seven, she came second in a radio competition. She later studied music in Bordeaux and performed with the Latin rock band Don Diego, which took her all the way to a festival appearance in Angoulême. The stage became her home. After an intense period in the Parisian cabaret Les trois maillets, where she performed for up to five hours a day, her career took off. She met producer Kerredine Soltani on the street in the artistic district of Montmartre - the beginning of a success story. Together they wrote "Je veux", a song that would shape her debut album "Zaz". Released in 2010, it rose to number one in the charts in France and also became a hit in Germany.
