Yorick Thiede - Tannenecker Ouvertüre

Yorick Thiede is a novelty on the German comedy stage, everything from his appearance to the stand-up itself takes place between opposites. His demeanor is coarse, his thought is delicate, the delivery is dry, the stories are engaging and somewhere in the pendulum between these facets stands a young man who is easy to grasp but hard to get a hold of.

Yorick has a natural ease in his storytelling. Every story, no matter how surreal, is made as three-dimensional and tangible within a few seconds as if you were there yourself.

In his debut solo program "Tannenecker Ouvertüre", which refers by name to a forest in his home town, everything that has made him known as one of the most interesting new talents in recent years comes to the fore. Tales of Thiede's upbringing on a Schleswig-Holstein farm, his petty crime-ridden youth in the provinces and the conflicts between his resulting personality and contemporary life are always interspersed with absurd additions and theories that add a logical conclusion to the nonsense.
