Nadine (Anneke Kim Sarnau) does everything she can to stay young, firm and attractive even at 50. But when her husband Philipp (Godehard Giese) turns to a prostitute, she is plunged into a deep life crisis. What does the other woman have that she doesn't? Meanwhile, her daughter Lilly (Emilia Packard) is preoccupied with her teacher Vicky's (Nora Tschirner) lectures on the invisibility of women in history and wonders whether she can even say what she doesn't want - to her boyfriend Enno (Levy Rico Arcos), for example. During the project days, he attends a course on "toxic masculinity", led by Vicky's new colleague Trevor (Malick Bauer), who quickly arouses her interest. But Vicky actually misses her partner Franz, who has retired to the mountains for an indefinite period of time, as she is no longer sure whether isolated togetherness is the right life model for her. Julie (Emilia Schüle) also feels isolated in her new job as recording manager for a TV show. Dealing with an abusive colleague increases her self-doubt: is she really too difficult, too sensitive, too loud? But even when she raises her voice, no one really wants to listen. Sonja (Karoline Herfurth) and Milan (Friedrich Mücke), who have since separated, also find it difficult to listen. At a family therapy session, they try to find a common language, but when Sonja finds out about Milan's new partner, it hits her hard. Afraid of being left alone, she ventures into dating herself - and realizes that she is looking for something completely different.
