WISHBONE ASH on "The Wish List" Tour 2025

The London classic rock band will be touring Germany again in 2025 at the beginning of the year. After the "Live Dates" Tour 2024, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the album of the same name, "The Ash" are putting the 2025 tour under the motto "The Wish List Tour". Tickets are available from today, May 24, 2024, 12 noon.

The idea behind the tour motto is that the WISHBONE ASH fans themselves contribute to the setlist. Some rarely heard songs, which were requested by the fans through a social media survey conducted by the band, will be played on the concert evenings. WISHBONE ASH will bring a mixture of their classics, rare song treasures and newer songs from the recent past to the stage.

The band was founded in London in 1969, during the bubbling birth of the progressive rock scene. Taking advantage of the fertile musical environment, WISHBONE ASH produced an unmistakable brand of melodic rock and became one of the most influential guitar bands in the history of rock. Energy and melody have made "The ASH" a hard act to beat and one that is currently being discovered by a new generation of loyal rock fans. Over the years, the band has experimented with various musical genres, from folk, blues and jazz to pedal-to-the-metal rock and electronica. Whatever the style, WISHBONE ASH's unmistakable unique selling point is their interplay between two lead guitars, which has influenced bands such as Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Iron Maiden and Opeth. They made music history with their album "Argus".

As true warriors of the road, the band covers around 30,000 miles a year - the equivalent of circumnavigating the globe - earning them worldwide fame and enduring popularity. Founding member and lead singer Andy Powell joins Mark Abrahams on twin lead guitars. Bassist Bob Skeat, a member of the band for 25 years, sets the rhythm together with Joe Crabtree, one of the best British drummers of the younger generation.

In early 2020, "Coat of Arms" was released on the Steamhammer/SPV label in time for the 50th anniversary of the band's founding, followed by a successful anniversary tour. As musically experimental as ever, WISHBONE ASH have confidently transferred their trademark sound to the present day. Their 25th album, "Coat of Arms", entered the German album charts at number 22 - the best position the band has ever achieved in this country. In 2023, a new recording of their 1973 album "Live Dates" was released under the title "Live Dates Live".
