A gaunt man wearing a dark suit and a red baseball cap appears out of nowhere in the scorching desert heat between the USA and Mexico. Travis. He drinks the last sip from his water bottle, then marches unperturbed on into the wasteland, which the locals call "The Devil's Playground". Travis appears to be mute and to have lost most of his memory, but he is driven by the desire to find his family again.
PARIS, TEXAS is considered Wenders' best-known and most successful film worldwide.
