In Memoriam David Lynch: In memory of David Lynch, who died on January 15, 2025, the DFF Cinema is showing the complete works of the US cult director in cooperation with the arthouse cinemas.

A young man flees across America with his lover, pursued by her mother's deadly hatred. Against a true horror scenario of violence, filth, poverty, betrayal and death, the two grow to trust each other. After a failed bank robbery and serving several years in prison, the man finally finds the courage to face up to his love - an operatic mixture of "amour fou", gangster story and road movie, staged with enormous use of images, sound and music, which highlights the terrible and repulsive aspects of life from an ironic fairytale perspective, but also evokes lasting humane values and the beauties of existence. A not infrequently tasteless collage, which at the same time can be understood as a condensed snapshot of a contemporary view of reality and the world.(Text: Lexikon des internationalen Films)
