WhåZho

You were standing in the rehearsal room and had your first gig, no guitarist and no songs...this was the trigger for the brilliant start of WhåZho in 2015.
was the trigger for the brilliant start of WhåZho in 2015. The looper became their best friend
and many other pieces of equipment joined them - the motto "more is more" became
for a while and Gutfeeling Records became the home base.

Consisting of Philip Groß (drums, samples, effects, glockenspiel) and Christian Riedel (bass,
synths, loops & effects), they move through all genres and styles with predominantly instrumental
genres and styles and rush through the provincial metropolis with a fascination for effect-rich loops and
samples to create a digital/analog sound world together.
They are also happy to play live with various guest musicians. Pop glamor in the form of visual art by VJ Zava
was still missing, so they packed it in - it's a must

MNWHL is a duo.
Drums and bass complemented by a loop machine.
Somewhere between post-rock and noise rock.
An essence of reduction, noise and short arrangements.
Distortion, odd rhythms and feedbacks are combined with
random loops into an instrumental melange,
reminiscent of bands from the label rosters of Thrill Jockey or
Touch and Go in the mid-1990s.
The debut album "The Cobbler" was released in 2023.
