Children and young people have the right to form an opinion and to be heard. This is enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989.
"terre des hommes" supports children and young people in informing themselves, discussing and presenting their concerns: in the family, at school, in the quatier or the community and also to the government. Children represent their point of view and demand their rights. In doing so, they provide valuable information on grievances and possible solutions - and at the same time learn to actively shape their society.
The exhibition shows nine children and young adults from "terre des hommes" projects in Afghanistan, Brazil, El Salvador, India, Pakistan, Peru and Zambia who are campaigning against exploitative child labor and child marriages, for education, environmental protection and peaceful coexistence.
