For 30 years now, comedian Heinz Gröning has been answering the recurring question of whether it is possible to make a living from comedy with a humorous "Yes, no problem - even relatively well." In collaboration with the Cologne agency format:c, the Volksbühne am Rudolfplatz is presenting this impressive anniversary in a new kind of show, conceived by the comedian himself. The celebration will take place in Cologne's theater living room with numerous comedy colleagues, organizers and an enthusiastic audience. This come-together of the comedy scene should be firmly entered in every cultural calendar for 2025.

Heinz Gröning, one of the great pioneers of the Cologne comedy scene, curates an extravaganza that combines the past, present and future of stand-up comedy in a unique way.

As the founder and inventor of Offene Bühne Köln, Heinz Gröning has invited many comedy colleagues into the audience. Almost everyone who is anyone in the German comedy scene today performed there at the beginning of their career. Completely different artists from Johann Köhnich to Bastian Pastewka, Bernhard Hoecker and Ausbilder Schmidt to Mario Barth and Lisa Feller. The lot decides which of the comedians in the auditorium will bring a few minutes of their first performance to the Volksbühne. Heinz also presents the classics and highlights from over 10 years as a presenter. In "Hit or Fail", the audience decides which song will make it big and in the join-in theater, 8 comedians who know nothing of their luck beforehand are on stage again and make themselves the ... star of the show.

In the second part, the audience not only experiences highlights from three decades of comedy experience, but also the best from well-known productions such as the "Ausbilder Schmidt Show" or "Little Show of Horror Comedy".

Heinz and his colleagues review the greatest moments in comedy history and provide a glimpse into the future in the third part of the evening: What will the comedy mixed show of tomorrow look like? The answer will be given live when 4 comedians take to the stage at the same time and guarantee absolute laughter with lightning-fast improvisation and merciless gags.

The audience decides on tops and flops and experiences at first hand how unexpected stars of the evening develop out of nowhere. Surprises are guaranteed - and it's not just the audience that can look forward to what this extraordinary evening has in store.

The evening's illustrious guest list already includes Johann König, Ausbilder Schmidt, Achim Knorr, Onkel Fisch, Hennes Bender, Vera Deckers, Keirut Wenzel and Sören Leyers.
Last but not least, the Master of Ceremony: Knacki Deuser, who will accompany the audience through the evening.
