The tour:

Today, on our first comuneo mountain tour together, we will discover the picturesque corners of Saxon Switzerland around the small and old fortress town of Königstein in a leisurely little group. After arriving by S-Bahn from Dresden, we first take a steep climb up to the idyllic little village of Pfaffendorf, where we have a beautiful view of the neighboring Königstein Fortress.

From there, we climb through the narrow "eye of a needle" to the first summit, the 435m high Pfaffenstein. After getting a first impression of the mountains of Saxon Switzerland from the observation tower (optional), we head to the most famous climbing rock in Saxon Switzerland, the Barbarine.

On the way via the Pfaffenstein promenade to our second summit, the 448m high Gohrisch, we take a short break and lighten our rucksacks with the food and drink we have brought with us. Interesting rocks, narrow crevices and, hopefully in fine weather, a good all-round view of the German and Bohemian sides of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains await us at Gohrisch.

Back down on the plateau, there is time at "Uncle Paul's Rest" to empty the remaining reserves in your rucksack. From here, the route continues downhill, first through the village of Gohrisch and then back to Königstein. At the end of our hike, you can stop off at the cozy and historic coffee house in Königstein and reflect on your impressions or take the S-Bahn back to Dresden individually.

Registration necessary!
So that everyone can enjoy the hike equally, we have decided to limit the size of our group for today's hike to approx. 12 people. So please sign up and let us know in good time if you are unable to attend (e.g. due to illness) so that we can allow others to join you.

The participation of children and young people with experience in mountain hiking is possible and welcome in the presence and under the supervision of an adult participant. Please register children and young people with an approximate age as separate participants.

We hope for good weather and a wonderful, unforgettable day together in the great outdoors!
