She is known to the art world as the first wife of painter Max Ernst and as the muse of the Dadaists and Surrealists. But Luise Straus-Ernst, born in 1893 to a Jewish family of factory owners in Cologne, was much more: an art historian, author of short stories, reportages and novels and a radio writer from the very beginning.

The writer and radio author Eva Weissweiler has been working on this extraordinary woman for many years. Her publication "Notre Dame de Dada" was published in 2016. Luise Straus-Ernst will also have her place at MiQua and will be part of the narrative on Jewish life in Cologne. Eva Weissweiler and Christiane Twiehaus will trace an impressive and tragic Cologne biography with texts and in conversation.
