Speaker: Dr. Arndt Haubold
In his ministry as a pastor, Dr. Arndt Haubold had numerous opportunities to come into contact with prominent churchgoers from all over the world. From 1989 to 1994, he was the third pastor at the Nikolaikirche in Leipzig, which was visited by celebrities from all over the world during those years. He was also active in the globally active Gustav-Adolf-Werk, the diaspora organization of the Protestant Church in Germany, and met numerous church leaders at home and abroad. But he also experienced many interesting, sometimes dangerous or curious encounters in Markkleeberg and elsewhere. He was able to view major events from the second row and gain a different perspective on them than in the official accounts. Queen Elisabeth, French President Mitterand, German President Horst Köhler, Erich Honecker and other celebrities can be found in his latest book.
