New Year's reception at the Volksshow! Pick out something nice to wear and come to the Volksshow to find out what will be important and funny in the new year. This time with representatives from the most important branches of the entertainment industry: satire, music and TV. Friedemann Weise comes armed with instruments - and Anja Rützel drags a giant television onto the stage. Guaranteed without commercial breaks!

Anja Rützel, born in 1973 in Würzburg and prepared for life at the Girls' Educational Institute of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, wades fearlessly through deep swamps as an author. "Calm down, it's all funny" is engraved on her key ring, and this advice also describes the perspective with which she looks at the world. For "Der Spiegel", she dives into the TV sewage for cultural fool's gold and finds amazing parallels between the "jungle camp" and Greek dramas. Rützel has written books on the three big Ts of life (Television, Animals and Take That) and runs the TV chat room "Only Fans" at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

Friedemann Weise is a satirist, author, songwriter, cabaret artist and comedian. He is known throughout Germany for his appearances on the "heute show" and his regular radio contributions. Friedemann Weise has won several awards and tours Germany all year round. Sometimes only with his mini-clone Friedemännchen, sometimes with professional piano accompaniment

Host

Moritz Hürtgen, *1989 in Munich, works as a columnist for the satirical magazine Titanic and Apotheken Umschau. He does not have a regular job. He is hosting the second season of the popular show this season.
